Another weekend flies by and I didn't do half the stuff I had planned to do.

Riding was an adventure this week. Tia decided she didn't like the classroom at the bottom of the school, so wouldn't go near it. So to calm her down I kept her at the opposite end, all well and good until a white bird (I think it was a pigeon or similar) decided to fly in.

All around the school are mirrors so you can see for yourself how you look. This confused the bird even more and it kept banging into them. Tia liked this even less. I ended up do doughnuts in the middle of the school.

So I took her to the outside paddock away from all distractions - or so I thought. Two other horses were turned out in the field below and they decided it would be fun to chase each other round. Tia wanted to join in.

I finally got her settled when a couple of RAF Jets decided what fun it would be to fly really low over the paddock a few times. Tia and I nearly overtook them.

I gave up after that. There was no point carrying on as she was so worked up she was dripping.

Today I get a call from my Mum. My Granddad was diagnosed as having Cancer the other day and apparently it has spread through his lungs and down through his stomach. They can't give him a time, so he may last 6 years or it maybe 6 months.

There is not a lot we can do we just have to play the waiting game. To be honest and this sounds cruel, I hope its sooner rather than later so he dosen't suffer.

Ah well. Death comes to us all. I just don't want it to be too soon.
