Dilemma
13.09.01 - 12:52

Well it's getting to be that time of year again - Christmas shopping. I have to start thinking about it now as the two men in my life are so difficult to buy for.

My Dad drives Sports Cars for a living and likes a drink, so if I really get stuck a good bottle of something should go down well, but I want to get him something he will appreciate in future years.

As for my Partner, I haven't got a clue. He is the original Gadget Boy and our house has more electrical equipment than you can shake a plug at.

The trouble is when I look at the toys he would really, really like - they are in the hundreds of pounds bracket. I am not too bothered by that fact as I can get away with making it a part Christmas, part Birthday gift.

My problem is that I try and get what they would really like but would not go out and buy themselves. Therein lies my dilemma.

Do I go out and spend the money on something they want but they may feel awkward accepting due to the expense or do I spend less on them and I feel bad as I haven't given them what I wanted...? It's a Catch-22 situation.

Time to start dropping hint's and start looking around.
