I got stuck in the lift at work today when I went down to the canteen for lunch.

The doors shut but when the button was pressed the lift didn't move and the doors wouldn't open again.

I had to call security who, after 15 minutes finally turned up, forced the doors open, much to the amusement of my friends.

Whilst I was waiting for the rescue party to arrive I ate my 99% Fat Free cake in the hope it would make me lighter and so then lift would work.

It didn't.

Then I made the mistake of telling Rupert who is still laughing about it now.
