Trip Down Memory Lane
19.12.02 - 16:19

My screen keeps flickering yellow so I have to keep kicking the wires to get it white again.

I could do without having to buy a new monitor, I have already spent the money I was saving to service my car, hopefully Mum will come through with the Christmas Money so I can service it in January.

Not long now till its Rupert’s Birthday.....26. My sweet, kind, generous, loving man will be 26.

I remember when I first met him, I was 10 and he was 8 and I hated him on sight. His Dad was racing on the Prom and asked Dad to look after Rupert, Dad was involved in getting the cars prepared so put me in charge.

hehe...big mistake.

I clubbed him over the head with my Red Umbrella for a) following me round and b) because I wanted to.

I occasionally saw Rupert at the various race meetings over the years but it wasn't until he was at Uni in London that we got talking again....

I was at Donnington with Daniella - Rupert’s Dad was racing the Speed12 and I saw him wandering around the Paddock...I couldn't belive I recognised him after all that time. We got talking, swapped phone numbers and started meeting up when he came home from Uni on weekends.

I went down to see him once just before he graduated....then he moved to Bristol. I went to visit once a month and he came home once a month. It became a ritual.

2 years ago - I packed my job in and went to Uni, but I hated it. I went to spend a long weekend with Rupert in Bristol....and never left.

We moved from Bristol to Cheltenham to our own little house and eventually made the decision to "officially get-together".

Now we are here...26 months later...longer if you count the unofficial time.

I have seen him grow up from being a scrawny kid to the hunk he is today. And I love him more and more each day.

*breathes*

Wow - and this was meant to be a short entry.....not a trip down memory lane. Bet you wish you had never asked now Charis...!

And as they say that is that.
