Well as from today I have the rest of the week off from work.

No, I am not on holiday, it's because I have to go into hospital for an investigation, and because I also have to have an anastethic, Rupert is having to take a few days off to watch me in case I have a reaction or swallow my tongue or meet with some other horrible accident.

Today is preperation day. I have been given this stuff to drink that tastes like salty syrup and gives you the runs.

I have to follow a diet sheet and have to drink 6/8 pints of water. I can only eat clear soup for dinner.

That will be my last meal until I have the proccedure tomorrow afternoon and even then I don't think I will be up to eating.

If I could I would have picked a nicer disease than this. It has to be one of the most embarrasing around.

But if I didn't laugh at some of the situations I have been in - I think I would have probably gone mental by now.

So lets hope I don't need any more investigations for a few years yet. I just don't want to drink any more salty syrup.
