Prelim Visit I went after work to Mantra and this tall, extremely good looking bloke walked out of a cubicle I was a bit lost for words at this point, I waved my bits of paper at him and mumbled something about the Swedish Chef... It then dawned on him what I was on about and laughed. We sat down on the chairs by the window and spent the next hour or so going through everything. He explained the procedure from start to finish. He explained he would take my printouts and draw them a bit bigger, try various colours and have them ready for me in 7-12 days so I can check them out and make any adjustments. I asked him about his tattoos and did he regret having them done..? the answer was No, he explained the people most likely to regret having a tattoo is the person who has done it on a whim, walked into a studio and picked the first one they saw. Fair enough. I don't think I will regret having a tattoo. I have wanted one for so long now, I have researched designs, the process, the aftercare, what can go wrong etc. In fact I have looked at so many tattoos now that’s what I dream about at night. I asked to see where I would be when I was having my tattoo, he took me into his area, there were pictures all over the wall of stuff he has done, he showed me the instruments and the range of inks...all the time I was conscious of the next room being occupied as I could hear the needle. I asked the ultimate question... ..."is it going to hurt" "It will but you will be used to it after about 5 minutes" " "think about it this way...it can't hurt that much can it..." ...as he opened the curtain to the room that was occupied. Except it wasn't. Well it was but only by the other artist and he was adding a tattoo to his own calf....!!!! RESPECT TO THAT GUY I didn't quite know what to say...I just mumbled a bit more and they laughed at me. I think they understood what I was going through, fear, excitement, nerves and the feeling I was going to chunder There is one sticking point, money, the company I worked for announced it was going to make 20 people redundant this year from my IT department, today that figure went up to 40. I like this place already, they took time out to go through everything, I repeated myself and they just answered again and again until I was happy. I can recommend them without any worries..so if you want a tattoo...Mantra is the place to go. ** 0 Comments** |
