It's been 10 years since River Phoenix died outside the Viper Room.

I wonder what he would have done if he had lived...? Would he have carried on in movies or gone back to the hippy way of life...?

Either way...he would have been good.

I remember hearing the news the day after it happened. I, as well as some school friends, never made it to school that day.

Why did it affect me like that..? I have no idea. Yes he was my favourite actor and yes he was going to marry me...but there was something else that even now, 10 years on, I can't explain.

Perhaps thats the sign of a true star...?
