Yesterday was my Stage 1 Riding and Care BHS exam.

I got to the stables an hour early and most of that time was spent in the loo (no surprise there then).

I was in Group A so was riding first. Everything went well - apart from the stirrups getting stuck when trying to put them up and having to get the Commander to adjust them for me.

Then came the first of the care stages. We were all given a sample of feed. Brilliant. I could tell you all about everyone eles sample but mine - no. It could have been cow shit and I wouldnt have been able to identify it. So naturally I started to panic . The examinier was lovely. She took me to one side and reassured me it was the overall performance that counted. So I told her all about Mollichop instead .

Then was points of a horse, markings, mucking out and grooming, taking up and tail bandages. All went better than I had thought.

Amyways....I FRIGGIN WELL PASSED
