I think my watchword/phrase should be “Expect the Unexpected”.

I have been caught out so many times and I never seem to learn.

I waft along in my own little dream world and yet I am still surprised by the smallest things.

I wander around corners and bump into people, as I don’t expect anyone to be coming the other way.

When anything happens between Rupert and myself because I haven’t noticed the signs, trouble is normally not far behind.

It’s about time I came back down to earth and opened my eyes.

It’s about time I took a good look around to see what I have got before I lose it.

It’s about time I put some serious thought into my future.

It’s about time I grew up and took responsibility for my actions.

It’s about time I started to act my age – well most of the time anyway.

It’s about time I started not taking life too seriously.

And most of all it’s about time I started to enjoy myself.

And that time is now.
