Well I had a Valentine's Day to remember. And for all the right reasons as well.

Rupert came home with a card and a present. And what a present…! I really don’t know how he thought of it but for once he picked better than I did. Git. I had bought him a Cross Pen set for his Flight Bag, so he looks a bit more classy. I thought he would like them, they are quite thick but very light and are made from Chrome. They look really nice actually.

Rupert bought me a mat that fits in the bottom of the bath and uses a pump to make bubbles. Sort of a portable Jacuzzi. I had to try it out immediately, so I filled the bath and poured in some really nice bubble bath, plugged the machine in, got into the bath and with the little remote control, turned it on.

At first it was strange, all these bubbles hitting places I didn’t know I had but once I had got used to it I loved it. So there I was, bubbling away and then it started, I had put bubble bath in (just a bit, well a smidgen more than a bit). The bubbles started to take over, I called Rupert into the bathroom and he started scooping them into the sink. But we were fighting a loosing battle.

It was brilliant. It is one of the best presents ever.

After we went to a local Inn for a meal. We had a really, really long talk about a lot of issues. I don’t know if it was the setting, the situation, the day or a combination of them but afterwards I felt a lot happier and calmer about certain issues. I am not fully convinced about the other side but I am in regards to him.

I am starting to fully trust him and this has been one of THE most difficult aspects of the relationship. I have never had trust and honesty like this before so it is a totally alien experience for me and one that is taking some getting used to.

Things are starting to fall into place, I hope that this peace lasts. I can’t be doing with fighting any longer. I just have to learn to accept.

And to finish the night, well, let's just say it been a while since I had a night like that one.
