This weekend we went to our local pub.

Their lack of veggie foods astound me. I had more luck in Oklahoma last year even if one chef did actually come out of the kitchen to stare at me. Long story.

Oh bollocks I will tell it anyway, Roop and myself had gone out for a drive round Edmonton (I think it was called) and went into Applebys(..?) anyway, shock horror, no veggie food so I ordered the Chicken caesar salad without the Chicken.

Waiter "Huh"

Me "Can you leave off the chicken please as I am a vegetarian"

W "what no chicken..?"

M "yes"

W "Do you want beef instead..?"

M "no...I am a vegetarian"

W "So you don't want chicken or beef..?"

M "No thanks - I don't eat meat."

W "Ok" Looks at me strangely.

Waiter then goes into the kitchen and must have said something to the chef. They both came out of the kitchen to look at me...!

I must have been their first vegetarian. God knows what they thought I looked like..?

Anyways what I was trying to say was - when we were at the pub, Roop any I got onto TGI's menu. They used to be really good. "Make your own Omlettes" and stuff. About a year/18 months ago virtually all their veggie food disappeared off the menu save for fries and a veggie burger. So today I took a look at their online menu and they have increased their veggie dishes by 3 .

I mailed the Food and Menu team asking about bringing back the omlettes and introducing a few more veggie dishes, as I used to really enjoy going to TGI's, and me - someone replied...!!!

So well done James from TGI's. I shall look forward to more veggie food and those delicious cocktails
